Your experienced engineering service provider for plastics product development

Thanks to our many years of experience and the expertise gained from more than 2,000 projects, we can deliver concepts, designs and calculations for your plastic component and select the best material. By tightly integrating our high level of development expertise from the very first idea with toolmaking and production, we are able to quickly mass-produce your products – often without iteration loops and even with complex requirements.

In addition, we can also assume responsibility for all aspects of product implementation, including process selection, tool design, tool engineering and supervision of tool construction, including all of the associated production steps.

Concept & predevelopment

At our concept and pre-development centre, the ideas and concepts we develop move along an innovation path that combines the creative aspects with systematic activities in a meaningful and results-orientated way.

Calculation / simulation / parameter identification

Experienced engineers use extensive rheological, mechanical and thermal simulation tools at our simulation centre to implement products quickly, reliably and cost-effectively. This enables us to minimise risks in the early stages of development and realise the desired high quality of the moulded parts and tools prior to production.

If our customers intend to work with new types of plastics or materials whose specifications are not available, we use our own test specimen tools to produce the required test specimens. We measure the required characteristics and thus create a secure basis for high-precision simulation results.

Development for mass production

Our customers entrust us with their complete device development projects. Our 3D designs are created in a manner optimised for injection moulding and ready for production, and it goes without saying that we take tolerances into account and devise appropriate measurement strategies. This means that it is possible to use the generated data without post-processing for every step of the development process, right through to toolmaking. We assume responsibility for the complete design and managing all parties involved, even under extremely tight deadlines.

Prototypes and small batches at our own technology centre

The GPE Group is specialized in the manufacture of close-to-production prototypes and small batches. We deliver premium prototypes from steel tools quickly and in the original material. This makes it possible to achieve cooling behaviour that is identical to that of mass production and thus close-to-production component properties. The prototypes are used, for example, for the targeted testing of mechanical loads or difficult assembly conditions.

Experimentation and testing

Over the course of their use, components are subject to a variety of stresses and strains. These can be of a mechanical and thermal nature or additionally characterised by the effects of media. In our testing laboratory, we develop suitable experimental set-ups or test benches, construct these if required and oversee material and component tests.
